Six‑hour terror from sky: Russia's drone attack injures 11 in Ukraine's Odessa region

According to preliminary information, eleven people, including three children, were injured. The assessment of the damage is still ongoing.

Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, reported on the overnight attack which spanned for more than six hours. He reiterated, "Russian troops terrorized the Odessa region with strike drones for over six hours tonight."

As a result of the attack, debris from the downed drones hit various locations, including a workers' hotel, where eleven people, including three children, were injured. In total, eleven buildings were damaged and two cars were burned.

Ukraine shoots down 41 drones

Following the attack on Odessa, the Russians directed their drones towards the Izmail region, which is located on the Danube, bordering Romania. Their target was the region's port infrastructure. The ensuing debris damaged warehouse rooms.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the air defense managed to destroy 41 out of 42 Shahed drones of Iranian production. These unmanned aerial vehicles were launched from Balaklava and Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea as well as the vicinity of Primorsko-Akhtarsk on Russian soil.
