The tragic events took place today (May 13) in the afternoon hours. The Boeing 777-300ER flying from London to Singapore encountered very severe turbulence.

Unfortunately, there were casualties. One person died, and several others were injured. The plane had to make an emergency landing at the airport in Bangkok. There were a total of 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board.

Witnesses speak of terrifying scenes

One of the passengers on the plane was Andrew Davies, who recounted the events on X (formerly Twitter). His words indicate that everything happened very quickly.

A defibrillator was used immediately. There were passengers onboard with medical training who provided first aid. Rapid resuscitation was undertaken. Unfortunately, it was not possible to help him - Davies described the rescue operation.

Davies noted that among the injured were both passengers and flight attendants of the ill-fated flight. The turbulence was so severe that "clothes and passengers’ personal belongings were scattered all over the cabin, and coffee or water splashed onto the ceiling."

It's surreal. Lots of injured people, blood on the head. One of the women was in terrible pain with her back. She was screaming. I couldn't help her - a passenger on the flight to Singapore said.

Passengers were not fully aware of the seriousness of the situation. Andrew Davies described that "suddenly, a red light came on, we were ordered to sit in our seats and fasten the seat belts."

The plane just started to fall. It was terrifying. The flight attendants maintained a stoic calm and tried to help us. Unfortunately, not everything went as planned - the man recounted.

What is happening with the passengers of the Singapore flight who were not injured? At this moment, they are staying at the airport in Bangkok. Let's add that the plane landed there without any obstacles.
