The dishwasher is one of the most popular household appliances. It saves time, water, and electricity, so it's no wonder many people buy one. Just put dirty dishes in, toss in a tablet, and start the selected program, and in about an hour, you can enjoy clean dishes. However, sometimes the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes thoroughly, and streaks appear on the glass. This can be avoided. It would help if you used a few tricks.
Put it in the dishwasher. Your dishes will shine with cleanliness
With current electricity rates, buying a dishwasher seems like a reasonable solution. The device not only saves water but also electricity. One wash uses approx. 1-1.5 kWh, which means it costs less than a dollar.
Operating a dishwasher is simple. Place dirty dishes in the device, then toss in a tablet and start the program of your choice. Although the whole process seems simple, sometimes, after washing, dishes look unwashed.
Instagrammer Ania Jankojć showed how to make the device clean dishes better. She advised placing the tablet at the bottom of the dishwasher, especially for short cycles. The capsule will dissolve completely, ensuring it cleans the dishes more thoroughly.
Another tip was about streaks. To avoid them, use vinegar. Fill a glass with it, place it on the top rack, and start the wash. Vinegar acts as a whitener, disinfectant, and polisher. After the cycle is complete, the dishes will shine with cleanliness.
Roll it into a ball and throw it in the dishwasher. You'll forget about streaks
The Instagrammer shared a clever trick to prevent streaks on dishes. Just roll a piece of aluminum foil into a ball and place it in the cutlery basket. The foil will soften the water, preventing limescale buildup in the device and streaks on the dishes.
Over time, the dishwasher can start to smell unpleasant. This is due to bacteria that continuously multiply in the device. To avoid this, clean the dishwasher regularly. How to do it? Empty the device, then use baking soda. Sprinkle it on the bottom, pour in white vinegar, and start the program. Baking soda combined with vinegar will remove all impurities. After cleaning the dishwasher, place a half-cut lemon to polish the dishes and give a pleasant citrus scent.
