Shooting in Philadelphia: 8 teenagers wounded, including one with nine gunshot injuries in critical state

At least eight high school students ranging in age from 15 to 17 were shot Wednesday afternoon at a transit bus stop in Northeast Philadelphia - said officials in a news conference.
Authorities reported that on Wednesday, students from Northeast High School were gathered at a bus stop near the corner of Cottman Avenue and Rising Sun Avenue just before 3 p.m. ET. Three individuals exited a car that was parked nearby, approached, and discharged at least 30 rounds at the teenagers who were boarding a bus, according to the police commissioner.
Philadelphia police stated in a news release that the shooting resulted in eight victims: two aged 15, five aged 16, and one aged 17. Among these victims was one female.
According to Philadelphia police, one of the wounded students, a 16-year-old, was shot nine times and is in critical condition, while the other seven are stable.
"It is hard to sit here and see in three days … 11 juveniles shot who were going and coming to school (...) The cowardly acts that we’ve seen over the last three days are unacceptable (...) Additional resources will be deployed across Philadelphia to address the series of shootings and to determine whether the incidents Wednesday and Monday are linked- said city Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel.
Police tweeted surveillance video showing the suspects with a request for help in identifying them.
According to CNN, seventy-one mass shootings had been reported in the United States in the first 66 days of this year, including Wednesday’s shooting in Philadelphia,
