Shooting at Trump rally: Assailant dead, Trump grazed, spectator killed

Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger said in a telephone conversation with the AP agency that the suspected shooter is dead.
He also added that at least one rally participant was killed.
A bullet grazed Donald Trump but is safe, while the assailant is dead, reported a “Washington Post” journalist, also citing Richard Goldinger.
"Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger tells me that Trump was grazed by a shot but is safe. An audience member was killed, and the shooter is dead. Another person is in serious condition," wrote Meryl Kornfield on platform X.
Trump is safe
In the video posted on the platform, law enforcement officers can be seen carrying out the lifeless body of one of the spectators who stood several yards behind the former president during Trump’s speech in Butler.
The Secret Service stated, "The former president is safe." The campaign team said, "President Trump is doing fine and being examined at a local medical facility."
"President Trump thanks law enforcement for their swift actions during this shameful event. He is doing fine and is being examined at a local medical facility. More details will be provided soon," the campaign team of the former president announced in a statement.
