Shooting at dental office in El Cajon: Suspect arrested after incident that left 1 dead and 2 wounded
A gunman unleashed gunfire within a dental office in El Cajon, California, on Thursday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and injuries to two others. The city is located 15 miles northeast of San Diego.

Media outlets reported a shooting at a dental office in El Cajon, located approximately 15 miles (24 kilometers) northeast of downtown San Diego. The suspect, identified by police as 29-year-old Mohammed Abdulkareem, is said to have left the scene in a white U-haul pickup bearing Arizona license plates.
According to NBC News, After receiving a 911 call from the office on North Magnolia Avenue, police arrived at the scene at 4:15 p.m. local time and provided "lifesaving support" to the three victims.
Police report that the deceased victim is male. The coroner’s office will publicly identify him. Police officer Rob Ransweiler mentioned that the two wounded individuals, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s, were transported to local hospitals and were reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities refrained from speculating on whether the shooting was deliberate or if the suspect, who was equipped with a handgun, had any prior acquaintance with the victims, reports NBC News.
Several hours after the incident, the El Cajon Police Department announced on social media that Abdulkareem had been apprehended, although further details were not disclosed.
