She tried to stop a departing plane. The incident was captured on video
Missing a flight can often cause stress and frustration among travelers. While most people scramble to find an alternative connection, one woman in Canberra, Australia, proved to be an exception. Rather than accepting defeat, she dangerously resolved to stop the departing plane herself.

Passengers at Canberra Airport, the capital of Australia, were surprised by an unusual event. In a desperate attempt to board her flight, a woman forced her way past terminal staff and ran onto the airstrip directly towards the plane. She frantically waved at the QantasLink plane, apparently hoping to catch the pilot's attention before take-off, which would allow her to board the aircraft.
After failing to gain access to the plane, she turned around and headed back towards the terminal building.
Witnesses at the airport and passengers on board the plane captured the incident on video. Dennis Bilic, who filmed the entire episode, told 9News, "People were a bit stunned, they seemed to not know what to do."
Thanks to the prompt alert, the pilot was able to switch off the engine in time, preventing the situation from worsening for the tardy passenger. The woman is currently in custody. Instead of flying out of Canberra, she now faces the ordeal of Australian justice.
An AFP spokesperson confirmed that charges against the woman include unauthorized entry into an airport or security area and property damage. She was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
