She lives with hes partner. She can forget about returning to Russia
Daria Kasatkina is quite an unusual Russian. Not only does the tennis player condemn the war in Ukraine, which started because of her country, but she is also a homosexual. She has been in a partnership with figure skater Natalia Zabijako for a year, and she may never be able to return to her homeland.

The year 2022 was the best for Daria Kasatkina. She won two tournaments – in San Jose, USA and Granby, Canada. As a result, on October 24th she was ranked 8th in the WTA world rankings. She had never ranked that high before.
The current season did not entirely go according to her plan. Not only did she not win any tournament, but she also currently ranks in 11th place. Moreover, she did not get into the WTA Finals event, which will conclude the year of 2023.
Now, however, the Russian is taking advantage of her free time, of which she does not have much during the year. She decided to go ice skating with her partner Natalia Zabijako. She is a Russian figure skater of Estonian origin, competing in sports pairs.
"Always the best activity," wrote Kasatkina, posting a shared picture on her official Instagram account.
"Always the best partner" - these are the words of Zabijako, which she placed in a comment under the photo.
Last year, the tennis player decided to come out as a homosexual and is in a relationship with a woman. She emphasized then, that the topic of LGBT people in her homeland simply does not exist.
In her opinion, couples in Russia will never be able to walk hand in hand, all because of Vladimir Putin. Currently, there is a battle underway there to enforce a ban on promoting homosexuality among not only children, but also adults.
In addition, Kasatkina decided to openly condemn the war that her country has started in Ukraine. As a result, she's virtually shut the door on returning to Russia, because huge penalties are threatened for opposing the regime.
- Condemning the war was a big risk for me, especially considering that my parents are still there. However, I couldn't stay silent and pretend everything is fine - she said in an interview with "The Sunday Times".
The Russian woman knows well that returning to her country would be dangerous anyway. After all, a year ago she revealed that she is a homosexual person. And now she can completely forget about a possible return to Russia.
- I have no possibility of return. But I do not regret it even by one percent. When the war started and everything turned into hell, I felt very overwhelmed. I could not hide any longer - Kasatkina explained.
