More and more people are looking for alternatives to renting apartments. It turns out that some decide to live in their own car. Among them is Julia, who bragged about her van-turned-home on TikTok.

A house from a van? Why not! After all, when comparing the cost of maintaining a car with the current prices of renting apartments, you can quickly come out ahead. Of course, you have to expect slightly different living conditions, but this tiktoker assures that this is not a problem.

The TikToker transformed a car into her home

Originally from the United States, Julia shares her daily life (which is quite extraordinary) with TikTok observers. One day, she decided to look for savings. She quickly calculated that she had spent about 90 thousand dollars on rent in total. Considering rising living costs and bills, she could expect a significant cash injection if she gave it up.

The TikToker decided to buy a large car that she could move into. As she revealed in one of her videos, she chose the 2020 Ford Transit, for which she paid $40,000.

However, she took care of the renovation of its interior herself. In the car, she managed to fit a small kitchen, bedroom, and dining room. Unfortunately, there was no room for a standard bathroom, but she also found a solution for that.

What fit in the house from the van?

Julia revealed that she spent just under $9,000 on the entire van renovation. The kitchen included a three-burner stove and an oven, as well as a sink with access to running water. The woman also remembered to include a refrigerator and a place where she could prepare her meals.

The TikToker hid a chest of drawers in her bedroom where she stored clothes. Of course, there could not be a lack of a bed either. Under it, she found a place for a compact toilet. Julia also took care of additions in the form of a mirror and a coat rack.

The dining room was also designed to be used in many ways. In this case, noteworthy is her cat's litter box, which the woman also uses as a chair.
