Sharon Osbourne defends Diddy amid shocking charges
Diddy is currently experiencing the most challenging period of his life. While many celebrities who once sympathized with him have now distanced themselves, one of the rapper's former acquaintances has recalled their close relationship. Sharon Osbourne even attempted to set him up with her daughter.
Following a widely publicized scandal that shocked the media a month ago, Diddy found himself behind bars. The disgraced rapper and music producer was accused of, among other things, sexually exploiting 120 people, including numerous minors, and human trafficking for sexual purposes. As the charges against the American were revealed, there was much discussion about the so-called "White Parties" hosted at his residences, where prominent figures in show business reportedly engaged in parties, readily available substances, and the orgies described in the media.
Stars who participated in these "parties" consistently avoid commenting, sometimes even denying a close acquaintance with Diddy. Sharon Osbourne, however, has taken a completely different approach, highlighting his numerous admirable qualities.
Sharon Osbourne praises Diddy
The acquaintance between the arrested musician and the wife of the Black Sabbath singer dates back to the early 2000s. Her daughter Kelly mentioned him in a conversation with her mother, which aired in one of the episodes of the hit reality show "The Osbournes." Shortly after he gifted her a diamond-studded watch, she described him as a gentleman.
During her shopping trip at the Larchmont shopping center on Tuesday, Sharon Osbourne was approached by a journalist. She admitted she was "surprised" by the shocking charges against Diddy as he awaits trial. In her characteristic manner, she emphasized that neither she nor her family ever received an invitation to his estate.
It's not like he's ever going to invite an older (...) woman to a White Party - she commented on the spot.
The 72-year-old also mentioned that she had the opportunity to get to know Sean Combs better. He always exhibited class and proper respect towards her.
He was so nice to me, I never knew that side of him. He was so respectful to me and my family - she observed.
Sharon even considered him a potential son-in-law. In 2003, during a program recording, she remarked that he and Kelly would "look sweet" together.
