Shannen Doherty opens up about cancer and divorce struggles

The past few months have been tough for Shannen Doherty. The actress is not only battling cancer but also going through a challenging divorce from Kurt Iswarienko. In the latest episode of her podcast, Doherty revealed what the upcoming months of her life will look like.

Shannen Doherty has been suffering from cancer for years. She first received the diagnosis in 2015. After a brief remission, the cancer returned, with metastases to her brain and bones. Known from shows such as "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Charmed," the actress does not hide her health condition from her fans and has openly talked about her treatment for several years.

In the latest episode of the podcast "Let's Be Clear with Shannen Doherty," she revealed what treatment awaits her shortly. She also spoke candidly about her feelings related to both the disease and the divorce.

The actress has repeatedly shown that she does not intend to give up. Earlier this year, she mentioned an innovative therapy on her podcast, which brought positive results after some time. Now, she has revealed that she is facing another cycle of chemotherapy.

- I have no idea if it's gonna be three months or if it's gonna be six months or if we're gonna… if after three months, it's not working, if we're gonna change again - she said.

- That's not something that I can predict. It's not something my doctors can predict. And it's scary. - she added.

She also made a heartfelt confession. - I just feel like my life has been unknown for over a year now," Doherty explained, "between divorce and cancer."

In 2023, Doherty announced that she was divorcing her third husband, Kurt Iswarienko. Recently, "People" magazine obtained the actress's letter to the court. In it, she wrote, among other things, that her ex-husband was shirking his responsibilities towards her. "It is simply not right that Kurt is allowed to prolong our divorce in the hope that I will die before he has to pay me alimony," it quoted.

In the mentioned episode, Doherty also addressed the divorce. She said it is not easy, especially when you genuinely love someone. - And I loved my husband. And when you are so hurt by his actions that you just feel like a betrayed fool, the breakup is tough - she stated.

She added that she might never be able to talk about the detailed reasons for their separation.
