The sunrise and sunset over the sea are truly mesmerizing. Seafarers get to enjoy this view every day. Recently, the idea of living on a ship has been gaining popularity, not among sailors, but among civilians. In less than two years' time, the MV Narrative will set sail. This is not just a ship; it's a floating residential haven.

The luxury ferry is anticipated to offer more than 500 apartments for rent. Both the apartment's size and the amenities it provides determine the price, which can start as low as $297,000 and go up to a staggering $8 million. Interested in this idea? Christine Kesteloo has been enjoying this lifestyle for many years. On her TikTok account, she openly shares what she does in her spare time and the overall cost of living on a cruise ship.

Living on a Ship Free of Charge: Kesteloo Shares Her Daily Rules

Christine Kesteloo isn't just a resident; she's also the wife of the chief engineer on a luxury cruise ship. She lives alongside her husband on board this ship. Via TikTok, she lets us in on her extraordinary lifestyle. In one of her latest posts, she discusses the rules that cruise ship dwellers must follow.

She has the luxury of using both the spa and the swimming pool every day, but she's not permitted to gamble in the ship's casino. There's a concern that if she were to win, it would not be well received by guests because she's married to a crew member. This is not the only limitation that she encounters. When Christine is in a crew-designated area, she must wear a specific band for identification purposes.

Kesteloo also noted that even after the ship has docked, she's not allowed to leave with the guests. She can only disembark an hour after the last vacationer leaves the deck. Additionally, as part of the international regulations, she's required to carry international insurance, which is somewhat pricier than regular travel insurance.

Access to Half-priced Spa, Endless Pool Access

Despite a few constraints, Christine's shipboard life is akin to a fairy tale. She lives rent and utility bill-free, and her food, pool, and gym access is also on the house. As her husband serves his duty, she can enjoy spa treatments or go shopping at only half the price.
