The film "Emilia Pérez" premiere at the American French Film Festival took place at the end of October. Among the guests was Selena Gomez, who appeared in front of photographers in an elegant black dress. While the internet was filled with compliments for her, there was also a detail that some considered an opportunity for nasty remarks.

During the photo call, Gomez posed with her arms positioned in front of her stomach, which some commenters interpreted as an attempt to "mask" her figure. Reports of body-shaming on TikTok eventually reached Gomez, prompting her to respond and reveal her struggle with a serious illness.

The singer confessed that she suffers from SIBO, which is Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth. Previously, much had been said about her battle with lupus. Gomez posted a comment under one of the videos, quickly silencing the haters.

This makes me sick, she began. I have SEBO in my small intestine. It flares up. I don't care that I don't look like a stick figure. I don't have that body. End of story. No I am NOT a victim. I'm just human - she stated.

It's worth mentioning that Selena has faced similar comments before and has repeatedly shown how to handle such opinions.
