According to U.S. media, a U.S. Secret Service agent was robbed at gunpoint while President Joe Biden was visiting Los Angeles over the weekend.

The agent was returning from work on Saturday evening when he was approached in a residential area in Tustin, about an hour's drive southeast of Los Angeles.

Police claim that the agent had his bag stolen at gunpoint. The agent, who was not injured, fired his pistol during the confrontation. The Secret Service stated that it is unclear if anyone was shot.

The officers still have not found any suspect. However, they have found some of the agent's stolen items. It is currently only known that a silver Infiniti FX35 was seen at the scene.

Joe Biden in California. Huge amount of money raised

Joe Biden visited California over the weekend as part of his campaign. The politician met with former President Obama and several celebrities, including George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Jimmy Kimmel.

They raised over 30 million dollars for Biden’s campaign during the event. The president urged voters to remember how it was when Donald Trump held office and resided in the White House.

The venue where the gala took place was heavily guarded by police units in full riot gear. A protest against the Biden administration's policy on the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip also took place nearby.

The first election debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump will take place on CNN on June 27, and the second on ABC on September 10. The U.S. presidential election will be held on November 5.
