Secret code in WhatsApp. A feature many will appreciate

WhatsApp is working on a new feature, which will surely appeal to many users. The feature currently being developed involves the use of a secret code that would unlock access to selected conversations.

WhatsApp is working on introducing a new feature that will increase the security and privacy of conversations. As reported by the editors of the WABetaInfo service, this involves the possibility of using a so-called secret code. It will be used to block specific chats, which could be applicable in both professional and private matters.

The new option that WhatsApp developers are working on has not yet been made available to the general public. In the beta testing program, it still can't be tested as it is not ready yet. Nevertheless, we can see a preview of what this feature will look like.

A secret code can be set in WhatsApp for certain, blocked chats. This will provide an additional level of security. This solution can be used to protect private messages or to separate the private sphere from the professional one, for example by blocking corporate chats.

Upon entering the secret code, access to secured chats becomes unlocked. They can even be used through the search bar. The new function will work on all devices from which the account is accessed. Currently, the chat lock can only be used on a single device, as informed on the official WhatsApp blog.

The new WhatsApp feature has not yet made it to the beta tests, so it's hard to indicate when it will appear in the full version of the messenger.
