Beginning October 18, the film "Chosen One" can be seen in cinemas. It portrays a young Donald Trump as an insecure, lost, ambitious businessman in cheap clothes who meets millionaire Roy Cohn. With Cohn's guidance, Trump gains strength and becomes one of the most significant figures in New York's elite. He learns to be ruthless toward opponents and is focused solely on achieving great success. The film's promotion stirred quite a buzz online.

Sebastian Stan criticizes Donald Trump

"Chosen One" has elicited a range of emotions. First, there has been much discussion about the scene of marital rape involving Ivana Trump. The businessman seemingly has everything, including a gilded apartment and a luxurious hotel, yet he is troubled by his own family, especially Ivana, toward whom he feels increasing disdain. Secondly, American news stations refused to air film advertisements during their programs, emphasizing their desire to remain impartial and not promote productions about one of the presidential candidates.

As the American elections reach the final stretch, Sebastian Stan, portraying Trump in "Chosen One," is openly commenting on the politician and holds nothing back. Trump "ain’t caring about your situation," he said in an interview with the "Hollywood Reporter." The actor encouraged Americans to watch the film before voting.

"If you’re living in this country, you should, because it’s your right to. You have the right to be curious and know what there is to know," he emphasized. He added, "If you want to really know, it’s out there, it’s all been documented for the last 30, 40 years. Everything that’s in this film has been documented and it’s out there."
Discussing the film's powerful message, the actor remarked, "You hear facts, we all hear information, but you don’t experience it. It’s the experience of being with this person for two hours, and seeing where he’s coming from, and really asking yourself at the end of this film, ‘Do you trust this person? Do you really trust that this guy is going to make a decision that’s going to be good for you or good for him?’'

When asked about concerns over possible repercussions for his involvement in the film and criticism of Trump, the actor, originally from Romania, responded, "I’ve had a lot of people telling me not to do it. I mean, you very well know Jimmy Kimmel asked me if I still have my Romanian passport, based on him [Trump] trying to deport American citizens (...) But yeah, I don’t believe in fear… Again, I come from a place where people were silenced and were taught to live in fear. And that was another reason why I was like, ‘I have to do it.'"
