The Tarraco debuted in 2018 as the Spanish counterpart of the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace. It was a large, good-looking, and reasonably priced SUV backed by Seat's typical 5-year warranty. Despite this, it never became a sales hit.
In June 2024, it was decided to end the model's production to make way for a new SUV branded by its sibling, Cupra. This model, called the Terramar, will appear in showrooms later this year.
In a statement published by the brand, the company mentions that "The Tarraco was a success, but it will not have a successor." The company also added that "from mid-2024, it plans to focus on the Terramar model."
The car will have an interesting design and a sporty character. It will also offer various drivetrains, including standard combustion engines and plug-in hybrids.
We will learn the detailed specifications and offers shortly. Time will tell whether the Terramar will be more successful than the Tarraco.
