No-bake Snickers Cake - recipe
Looking for a dessert that will impress even the pickiest eaters? This no-bake Snickers cake recipe is your answer.
Ingredients:
Custard cream:
- 4.2 cups of milk,
- 6 ounces of sugar,
- 0.7 ounces of sugar with real vanilla or vanillin sugar,
- 5 egg yolks,
- 8.1 ounces of wheat flour,
- Optionally: 1 flat tablespoon of vanilla custard powder,
- 7 ounces of butter.
Additionally:
- 7 ounces of light tea biscuits,
- 7 ounces of cocoa tea biscuits,
- 1 can of caramel paste (e.g., fudge flavored or salted caramel).
Nut layer:
- 3.5 ounces of peanuts,
- 4.6 ounces of dark chocolate,
- 2.8 ounces of whipping cream
The steps are straightforward:
- Begin with the custard cream. Heat 3.4 cups of milk in a pot to boiling. In another container, mix the egg yolks, sugars, the remaining milk, and flour. Once the milk boils, incorporate the egg mix and cook on low heat, stirring until you achieve a smooth custard. Remove it from heat and let it cool completely.
- Whip the butter until creamy, then gradually mix in the custard to form a uniform cream.
- For the layers, start with cocoa tea biscuits at the bottom, add half of the custard, a layer of light tea biscuits, and then 3/4 of the caramel spread over. Add another layer of light tea biscuits and the rest of the custard, and finish with cocoa tea biscuits on top.
- To make the chocolate topping, warm the cream (avoid boiling), then mix in the dark chocolate until smooth. Pour this over the cake.
Your no-bake Snickers cake is now ready! Allow it to chill in the fridge for at least 3-4 hours before serving. This waiting period ensures the biscuits soften, making the cake creamier, easier to slice, and more flavorful.
