A Cottage Cheese Dessert
Cheesecakes, poppy cakes, gingerbreads - that used to be our life before the recent festive period. After the seasonal indulgence, many people yearn for a slightly healthier and lighter diet. Yet, that doesn't equate to forsaking sweets altogether. Firstly, it's crucial to adhere to moderation. Secondly, you can opt for healthier alternatives to heavy cakes.
"Are you looking for a recipe for something sweet and protein-rich, but with regular ingredients that you can buy from the grocery store? Here it is! A curd cheese dessert that is rich in protein without the addition of protein yogurts and protein supplements." - the dietitian writes on her profile.
Ingredients:
- 3.5 oz of lean cottage cheese,
- 1 banana (the riper, the sweeter the dessert),
- 1 tablespoon of cocoa,
- 3.5 oz of natural yogurt,
- 1 teaspoon of honey,
- 1 tangerine.
Instructions:
- Move the cottage cheese into a bowl and blend it with the banana.
- Add dark cocoa to the cheese mixture and mix thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, combine natural yogurt with honey. If the honey has crystallized heavily, gently heat it before adding it to make it more fluid and effortlessly meld with the yogurt.
- Alternate layers of light and dark mixtures into a goblet.
- Top it with pieces of tangerine.
Instead of tangerine, you can use other fruits such as apples (stewed ones), blueberries, raspberries, currants, or pears. Enjoy!
