Samsung smartphones are among the most frequently chosen mobile devices in the world. The Korean manufacturer's devices stand out with excellent AMOLED screens, offering vibrant colors and deep blacks, making them unique against the competition.

Users also appreciate the advanced cameras, which allow for high-quality photos even in difficult lighting conditions. However, not everyone knows that Samsung Galaxy models have a hidden menu with additional gallery functions.

Hidden menu

We're talking about the Samsung Gallery Labs menu in the Galaxy Z, Galaxy S, Galaxy A, and Galaxy M series. This menu allows access to additional features useful for taking photos and videos. For example, you can enable video previews on thumbnails (Video preview on picture list), view additional photo metadata (Show EXIF in details), and even save files in PDF format (Save as PDF).

For those who prioritize privacy, it's worth noting the Album Entry Locks feature, which allows locking access to selected photos in the gallery using a PIN code or fingerprint.

How to enable Samsung Gallery Labs?

The Samsung Gallery Labs menu is disabled by default, and few people know its existence. However, there is a way to unlock it. Simply open the Gallery, tap the icon with three lines, and select the Settings menu.

Then, in the "Gallery – information" section, tap the version number multiple times until a message confirms that the Gallery Labs feature has been unlocked. A new tab will appear at the very bottom of the Gallery settings.
