In today's world, full of various threats, it is essential to remain cautious and take care of your safety. You may not realize it, but your smartphone can be a valuable tool in enhancing your safety thanks to a certain feature worth activating.

Mobile phones have many useful features, especially nowadays when dangers can arise at any moment. One of these, particularly helpful during meetings with new people, is the automatic sending of emergency SMS messages to a designated contact. This feature is available on most iPhones, and activating it might one day save you in a dangerous situation.

This function allows the automatic sending of an emergency SMS to a pre-selected contact. Instructions on activating this feature are available on the TikTok account @smartspotcompl, which is explained step by step.

To use this option, go to SMS messages, choose a trusted person, and click the plus icon next to their name. The next step is to find the feature "Notify" on your phone.

How to enable the feature on your phone?

After selecting this feature, you should set a timer for when the emergency message will be automatically sent. For example, if you plan a meeting with someone new, you can set the notification to be sent two hours after the meeting starts.

Suppose you do not contact the chosen person within 15 minutes after the message is sent to confirm that everything is okay. In that case, they will be automatically informed of your location via SMS. This is a very useful feature that can increase your safety.

Additionally, you can share your location with a close person so they can always check where you are.
