Ryan Reynolds jokingly laments wife's absence during Super Bowl as Blake Lively enjoys the event with friend
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds first crossed paths on the set of "Green Lantern" in 2010. Their chemistry first sparked during a double date, leaving their respective partners feeling like fifth wheels. A romantic evening for two followed soon after.
"The bar was open late, and we had the place to ourselves when they played a cool song. There was this moment in the middle of the dance when I felt Blake was the one for me. I walked her home after that, but I won't share more," Reynolds confessed to "GQ".
Since tying the knot in 2012, the couple has had four children. Their passion for each other remains strong, kept alive by constant playful interactions. Their online teasing is evident, with Lively often taking the lead.
"If there's one thing in this photo that fills me with immense pride, it's the crazy hair styling I did. Those braids brought me so much joy," she captioned a joint picture with Reynolds.
Commenting under a photo alongside actress Anna Kendrick, she playfully asked, "Anna Kendrick is the hotter female version of my husband. Would it be considered cheating?"
While shooting for "A Simple Favor," Reynolds attempted to get the plotline from her, but Lively remained tight-lipped, respecting her professional confidentiality.
"Darling, of all the secrets I keep from you, this should be the least of your concerns," she light-heartedly reassured him.
This time around, Reynolds humorously remarked about being home alone as Lively attended the Super Bowl with Taylor Swift, rooting for Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs. The NFL final is an incredibly significant event in the US, both commercially and culturally, regularly attracting over 100 million American viewers. This year, a 30-second commercial spot's price rose to 6.5 million dollars. One such advert promoted Reynolds's latest film, "Deadpool & Wolverine", set to hit cinemas this July.
When the movie's teaser aired, Reynolds took a picture of his solo-viewing experience and shared it online.
"Did everyone see the Deadpool teaser? And by the way, has anyone seen my wife?" he jokingly posted.
The response from fans was immediate and playful. One shared a clip of Taylor Swift and Blake Lively's enthusiastic cheering at the game.
Responses ranged from "She was last seen on national TV, exclaiming, 'Are you freaking kidding me?'" to "Tonight Blake is Swift's wife, mate", and "I may be mistaken, but I believe she's at a Taylor Swift concert," fans quipped.
