Russia's drone assault on Ukraine thwarted: 28 shot down
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, Russia launched another attack on Ukraine. Kyiv's air defense successfully shot down 28 out of 74 various types of assault drones used by the Russian military. An additional 46 drones lost communication due to effective electronic warfare measures.
"The enemy attacked with 74 Shahed strike drones and other types of drones (launch areas: Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation)," reads the statement from the Ukrainian Air Force.

"Air defense missile units, electronic warfare, and mobile shooting groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down 28 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. In addition, 46 drones lost communication," added the statement from Ukrainian services.
According to information provided by the Ukrainian Air Force, debris from a downed drone damaged homes and private property in the town of Kamianske in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Assistance is being provided to those affected.
