For over two and a half years, the media has been reporting on Russian military vehicles destroyed by Ukrainians. As it turned out, besides Russia's logistical unpreparedness for the conflict, the war in Ukraine has also revealed many flaws in their equipment.
A significant contribution is the sudden rise in the importance of unmanned drones, whose use has become widespread in Ukraine. The effects were not long in coming, as it is evident that the Russians were not prepared for such rapid and unexpected attacks from the sky.
As a result, from almost the beginning of the war, information has been reaching us about subsequent valuable machines destroyed by Ukrainians. As it turned out, modified and cheaply produced commercial drones are far more effective than traditional military drones, which have been reaping huge rewards in recent months.
A Russian vehicle worth over half a million destroyed in Ukraine
Particularly painful for the Russians may be the latest war loss in the form of the most modern MRAP "Spartak" armored vehicle. The machine, first presented in 2019, has already appeared on the Ukrainian front several times, but this is the first time its destruction was recorded.
Designed for the National Guard, the vehicle is one of the jewels of Russia's defense industry. It offers several different configurations, such as people transport with the possibility of fire support or a cargo version created to carry heavier ammunition and guns.
However, the cost of this type of machine is most important. Experts estimate it at over half a million dollars. The destroyed MRAP "Spartak" thus joins the list of the most valuable targets eliminated from combat by the Ukrainians. Among them so far are the equally modern T-90M tank (worth about 4.5 million dollars) and the Ladoga vehicle designed to survive a nuclear war (about 2 million dollars).
