Russians face accusations of hiding North Korean troop losses
- Even after years of war, when we thought the Russians could not get any more cynical, we see something even worse, - declared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He published a shocking video asserting that the Russians are trying to destroy the faces of North Korean soldiers who have fallen in Ukraine.
According to the President of Ukraine, Russian forces are trying to conceal the presence and losses of North Korean soldiers participating in military operations for Russia. - They tried to hide the presence of North Korean soldiers. It was prohibited to show their faces during training. The Russians attempted to erase any video evidence of their presence, - stated Zelensky.
The president indicated that the presence of North Korean soldiers on the front line was being kept secret.
And now, after first combats with our warriors, Russians are trying… to literally burn the faces of North Korean soldiers killed in battle. This is a demonstration of disrespect, which is currently prevalent in Russia, a disrespect to everything human, - conveyed Zelensky.
According to the Ukrainian president, there is no reason for North Korean soldiers to die in this war. - There is not a single reason for North Koreans to fight and die for Putin. And even after they do, Russia has only humiliation for them, - stated Zelensky, assuring that Ukraine will continue to defend its positions.
North Korean soldiers fight near Kursk
At the beginning of November, Zelensky reported the presence of 11,000 North Korean soldiers in the Russian Kursk region, bordering Ukraine. At the end of November, the Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) warned that support from North Korean troops for Russia poses a threat not only to Ukraine but also to South Korea and Japan.
Some North Korean military personnel will die in Ukraine, but others will return, ready to fight in a modern way and will be able to work as instructors in the North Korean army, - warned HUR.
The President of Ukraine emphasized that the Ukrainian side places the greatest importance on the situation on the front in the Donetsk region in the east of the country and in the Kursk region.
Previously, the President of Ukraine informed that Moscow has begun to engage a "noticeable number" of North Korean soldiers in efforts to push Ukrainian troops out of the Kursk region.
According to information recently posted on Telegram by the "Khorne Group" subunit of the Ukrainian 116th Independent Mechanized Brigade, an asset of the North Korean soldiers is good physical preparation, while their drawback is the use of outdated warfare tactics from several decades ago.
