Russian partisans thank Ukrainians, urge resistance against Moscow

A group of Russian partisans from the Kursk region thanks Ukrainians for their help and calls to oppose Moscow. "We also address our army: guys, you are not welcome here," says one of the men.

A video has surfaced online featuring people who claim to be members of the resistance movement in the Kursk region. Masked men are seen standing in front of a sign that reads "Sudzha" - a Russian city in the Kursk region which Ukrainians are said to have entered. The "partisans" assert that they are not happy with the presence of the Russian army in the region.

"On behalf of the Kursk region resistance movement, we want to welcome our guests, the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We also address our army: guys, you are not welcome here. We have never had problems with Ukrainians. No one ever shot at us until you came here" says one of the men.

They thanked Ukrainians for providing weapons and supplies. The man in the video assures that everything will be used "according to its intended purpose."

He also called on the residents of the Kursk region to join the ranks of the resistance movement. The address of the recruitment portal was placed on the sign that reads "Sudzha."

An American born in Ukraine, Igor Suszko, who frequently comments on events in Ukraine, claims that this is a resistance movement trained by Ukrainians, which has been "activated." However, no other reports are confirming this.

On August 6, Ukrainian forces entered the Kursk region, where they took over several villages. Some media outlets report that they also captured the city of Sudzha, although local authorities firmly deny this. Reports from the region do not indicate this either.

Ukrainians also recorded a video from the village of Porech in the Belgorod region. Some channels suggest that it has been taken over. Russians, on the other hand, assert that the army only made a video there and returned to Ukraine.
