Russian offensive leaves Darjino in ruins amid harsh tactics

Scorched earth tactics
"This is what Darjino in the Kursk region looks like after a month of the Russian offensive. If we previously thought the 'scorched earth' tactic was used somewhere in Syria or Ukraine, we now see that even their own land doesn't matter to them. The land is for resource extraction, people are there to extract those resources, but no one is interested in building or development. Barbarians," reads the unit's statement.
On Thursday, Ukrainian troops captured 27 Russian soldiers in the Kursk region in western Russia, as reported by the press service of Ukraine's airborne assault forces on social media.

"In recent days, 27 enemy soldiers have been taken captive during military operations. They include officers, sergeants, and soldiers from motorized units, naval infantry, airborne troops, and other military units, representing various regions of Russia and the temporarily occupied Sevastopol," a city in the southern part of Crimea, according to the statement.
In the Kursk region, where Ukrainian troops have been operating since August 2024, the Russian armed forces have begun a new phase of the offensive to push the Ukrainians out. This phase has been more successful for the Russians than previous attempts, in part due to support from North Korean soldiers.
