Over 70 people, including several children, were injured in a Russian missile attack on Sumy in northeastern Ukraine. A school and a hospital were among the damaged structures.
As a result of the Russian missile attack on March 24 in the capital of the northeastern region of Sumy, 74 civilians were injured, including 13 children, the City Council reported.
"The enemy struck the city center. Several residential buildings were affected, as well as a school. The children were in a shelter, they have been evacuated, and everyone is alive and well," stated Volodymyr Artiukh, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The target was an industrial facility, missiles hit the hospital
Artem Kobzar, acting mayor of Sumy, explained that the target of the attack was an industrial facility; however, other buildings were also affected as a result of the strike.
"Today the enemy attacked an industrial facility. The residential sector and the city's infrastructure were damaged, including facilities for children and a hospital. All emergency services are working at the scene," he wrote on Telegram.
Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, also published recordings from the site where the missiles landed.
According to Ukrinform, the fire that broke out in apartments of a five-story building with a total area of 1,600 square feet, as well as in a private house with an area of 540 square feet, has already been extinguished.
Emergency services are still working at the site.
