Russian missile strikes devastate Kyiv, Children's Hospital targeted

At least 31 people, including 20 in Kyiv, were killed on Monday in Ukraine due to a massive Russian missile attack, according to the Interior Ministry in Kyiv. A children's hospital in the capital was shelled, and city residents' cameras captured the moment of impact.

In Kyiv, a missile struck the children's hospital, the largest clinic in the country - Ochmatdyt. Two staff members were killed, and 16 people, including seven children, were injured. Four people, including three children, were rescued from the rubble. An evacuation of patients was necessary.

Cameras captured the moment a Russian missile hit the hospital building, and recordings appeared online. They show the incoming Russian missile, followed by a powerful explosion, and a cloud of smoke and debris.

The moment of the attack was also published by Ukrainian influencer Ihor Lachenkov. "To those who claim, 'It wasn't a direct hit.' The missile in the video was not hit by air defense and was headed straight for its target, which was precisely the Ochmatdyt hospital," wrote Lachenkov on X.

A health center in the Dnipro district of Kyiv was also damaged. Seven people died there, and three were injured.

Rescue operations were also carried out in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, where a missile destroyed the staircase of a residential building. "Rescuers are trying to pull people out from the rubble. You can hear their voices," said the city's mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko.

In Kyiv, there are reports of 20 dead and 61 injured; 10 people were killed in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Zelensky. At least one person died in Dnipro. Authorities in Pokrovsk, in the Donetsk region, also reported three victims of the missile attack.
