It's important to note that many reports from Russian media or officials are seen as propaganda, playing a role in the information war waged by the Russian Federation.
Russia has announced that Dmitry Polanski, the First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, will call a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine for March 22.
Russia's push for this move is blamed on what it claims are reckless decisions by European leaders who allegedly seek to escalate the Ukraine conflict to a new level - a direct clash between Russia and NATO, according to Polanski.
Attack on Odessa: A close call for the delegation
The Russian comment on the Odessa attack, which occurred on March 6, highlighted its timing during Zelensky and Mitsotakis's visit. Reports indicate the attack targeted Zelensky's convoy, with the missile detonating near the Greek delegation.
On March 8, Zelensky revealed a Russian ballistic missile landed 328-437 yards from Mitsotakis, resulting in five fatalities, though their identities remain undisclosed.
At the UN Security Council meeting, Polanski emphasized, "Russia does not intend to eliminate Zelensky." He provocatively asked the Council members if they genuinely believed Russia couldn't hit Zelensky's convoy if that were the intent.
Furthermore, Polanski explained that the Russian strike aimed to take out a facility believed to be manufacturing drones with British components, deeming it a more significant target than Zelensky himself.
