Russia admits without any scruples to using banned weapons during the assault on Ukraine. In a video published online, a Russian soldier can be seen admiring the use of chemical weapons. "Here is the gas grenade we dropped," he said.

The Russian army resorts to forbidden weapons, using them in combat against Ukrainian soldiers. Among these are not only tear gas grenades but also substances that were used during World War I, such as hydrogen cyanide and chloropicrin.

Anton Gerashchenko, former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, published a shocking video showing a Russian soldier using a gas grenade.

This film was shamelessly published by the official Telegram channel of the Russian state propaganda news agency RT, said Anton Gerashchenko.

"A Russian soldier admires the use of chemical weapons by the Russian army in Ukraine," commented Anton Gerashchenko on the video. In the footage, the Russian soldier explains what is in the dugout: "Here you can see a gas mask hanging from a machine gun. Boxes of ammunition. Here is the gas grenade we dropped."

Russia uses forbidden weapons

In January, the American Institute for the Study of War reported that Russians are increasingly resorting to chemical weapons on the front, thus violating the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention.

The institute added that the Russian 810th Naval Infantry Brigade admitted to using chemical weapons. The Russians dropped CS gas grenades from drones, used as an irritating combat agent.

It is worth noting that a grenade containing tear gas does not cause the direct death of soldiers. However, its use can induce panic. After dropping a tear gas grenade, the Russians proceed to attack Ukrainian soldiers.
