This information was reported on Saturday by independent Russian websites, which cited Russian military bloggers.
According to bloggers such as Rybar and Kirill Fedorov, Anashkin's dismissal is the result of a scandal related to false information about the capture of the villages of Serebryanka, Hryhoriivka, Bilohorivka, and Verkhniokamyanske in the Donetsk region. It was the commanders of the 3rd Luhansk-Severodonetsk Army and the 6th, 7th, and 123rd brigades who misled Anashkin.
Anashkin passed this information to his superiors, prompting a visit by higher command to the allegedly liberated Bilohorivka. This visit revealed the extent of the deceit, reaching the highest ranks.
The Telegram channel Veteran’s Notes assessed that the problem of fake reports is systemic and affects many sectors of the front. Despite unofficial reports, the military system's reaction only came two months later. Blogger Rybar noted that in the context of military inertia, this is considered a quick reaction.
As of now, there is no official confirmation of Anashkin's dismissal. This situation may highlight problems within the Russian command system.
