The turmoil within the Russian military continues unabated. Reports from independent Russian bloggers suggest that General Gennady Anashkin's dismissal is becoming increasingly likely. This dismissal was allegedly due to false reports about his victories in Ukraine.

Colonel General Gennady Anashkin was reportedly removed from his position as the commander of the "Southern Group" of the Russian army fighting in eastern Ukraine. According to military bloggers, he was accused of falsifying reports on successes at the front.
The Military Informant channel, connected to the Russian army, claims that false reports of "alleged deep breakthroughs" in combat operations began to emerge from the Siversk area, where units under Anashkin's command are fighting against Ukrainian forces.
The pro-government Rybar channel on the Telegram platform claims that Anashkin unnecessarily risked the lives of hundreds of soldiers by sending them to the front without adequate preparation and equipment.
False success at the front in Ukraine leads to dismissal
The "Daily Mail" reports that neither the Kremlin nor the Russian army has officially commented on these reports. A source in the defense ministry, quoted by state media, confirmed the general's dismissal, describing it as a "planned rotation."
Russian military bloggers have welcomed the decision to remove Anashkin, hoping for improved military operations and greater concern for soldiers' lives.
General Anashkin took command of the "Southern Group" in May of this year. In 2008, he was awarded the title of Hero of Russia for leading airborne units during the war with Georgia—the country's highest honorary distinction.
It should be noted that independent sources have not confirmed these reports, and the official stance of the Russian authorities on this matter is unknown.
