In Russia, another drone attack occurred on Friday, this time targeting a fuel depot in the Tambov region. The Ukrainian army most likely carried out the attack.

The Tambov region is about 250 miles southeast of Moscow and roughly 310 miles from the Ukrainian border.

Governor Maksim Yegorov reported the attack on social media. "A fuel depot in the Tambov region in Russia, hundreds of miles from the border with Ukraine, caught fire on Friday after an attack by a Ukrainian drone," he stated. The AFP news agency quoted his words.

Yegorov added that the drone was spotted around 8:45 PM local time (10:45 PM Eastern Time). "A small fire broke out at that time and has already been contained," he said. Photos from the scene have surfaced online, showing a huge column of fire and dark smoke rising above one of the tanks.

According to local authorities, no one was killed in the attack, and there are no reports of injuries.

There were also reports on Friday about an unmanned aerial vehicle attack in the Bryansk region, which directly borders the Ukrainian Chernihiv region.

The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported that one drone was shot down over his region, but its fall "partially damaged the roof of an administrative building."

A statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that from Thursday night to Friday, "25 Ukrainian drones were intercepted" over Russian territory. However, the ministry did not mention the fire in the Tambov region.
