The armed forces of Russia have made advances on the front in Ukraine, approaching an important logistical point in Pokrovsk and taking control of the town of New York in the northern part of the Donetsk region, according to the British Ministry of Defence.
As part of recent actions on the western front, the Russian army seized additional towns, allowing it to approach the key logistical hub in Pokrovsk.
Additionally, on the northern front, Russian forces entered New York, a town considered since 2014, when hostilities were initiated by Kremlin-backed separatist groups, to be a point on the front line.
Russia on the offensive
According to the daily intelligence update provided by British military intelligence, further tactical successes by Russian armed forces are possible in the coming weeks.
Nevertheless, the report highlights the weakening of the attacker's combat capabilities, caused by shortages among the officer corps, insufficient training levels, and significant losses suffered.
