Russian drone strike on Kyiv high-rise claims young life
On Friday evening, a Russian drone hit a residential high-rise in the capital of Ukraine. A teenage girl was killed in the attack, and five people were injured. Emergency services battled the fire on the upper floors of the building.

On Friday evening, a drone struck a building in the Solomianskyi district, one of the right-bank districts of Kyiv, located in the central-western part of the city.
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported that a girl born in 2009 was killed in the attack. Five people were injured, four of whom were treated at the scene, and one required hospitalization.
He specified that the fire affected apartments on the top floors of the high-rise.
The head of Kyiv's military administration, Serhiy Popko, informed that more than 100 residents were evacuated from the high-rise, and the injured were treated on-site. "Apartments from the 17th to the 21st floors were damaged," he added.
Popko reported that drone fragments also fell on open ground, but there are no reports of other casualties.
