Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine using 150 drones. According to the Reuters, one person was killed in Kharkiv, and 29 civilians were injured in Zaporizhzhia as a result of these actions. Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down 64 drones, significantly limiting the impact of the attack. In Zaporizhzhia, one of the main targets, 29 people were injured, including a 13-year-old boy.

The drone attack caused significant damage in 16 localities in the Zaporizhzhia region. There were 142 reports of damage to apartments, houses, cars, and garages. The Air Forces of Ukraine confirmed the downing of 64 Shahed drones and others in the east, north, and center of the country.

Air defense in action

Ukrainian air defense demonstrated effectiveness by shooting down 64 drones. Additionally, 62 UAVs were neutralized through the use of electronic warfare measures. The latest Russian attack also affected the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The situation in Ukraine remains tense. Russia continues to attack its neighbor, even though Ukraine has expressed readiness for an immediate ceasefire. Ukrainian authorities are continuing efforts to protect the civilian population and minimize the effects of Russian attacks. There is growing pressure to achieve peace from the U.S. side. Marco Rubio announced that if a peace agreement cannot be quickly reached, Donald Trump may consider ending his involvement in resolving the conflict.
