Many of the reports conveyed by Russian media and government representatives are likely not true. Such reports may be elements of an information war from the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian politician Anton Gerashchenko released a recording that features Viktor Sobolev. The Russian Duma deputy spoke about the war in Ukraine.

Undoubtedly, the complete solution to the goals of the special military operation is the creation of a single union state - Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Restoration of the 'Russian world' within its immediate borders, Sobolev stated in the recording.

He added that the Russian world must be restored within its natural borders. "Kyiv is the mother of Russian cities. We must protect our Russian world," he continued.

In the recording, the deputy can also be heard stating outright that Russia needs a well-trained and armed army to achieve these goals. He mentioned the importance of patriotic education for Russians.

Often, young people have much more respect and patriotism than those in their 40s, who grew up in Western culture. If we show students certain elements of military-patriotic education, they will grow into worthy citizens, defenders of our great homeland, he concluded.

The term "special military operation" was introduced by Putin on February 24, 2022. The Russian authorities use this term propagandistically to justify the attack. They claim the goals are denazification and demilitarization.
