The situation in the Kursk region is becoming increasingly dynamic. Thousands of residents have decided to evacuate. Journalists from "The Washington Post" reached a prison in Ukraine, where at least 250 Russian prisoners of war are being held. Their accounts are shocking.

Let us recall that President Vladimir Putin does not do things halfway with his compatriots. A few days ago, several hundred resisting Russian conscripts were forcibly boarded onto a plane and transported from St. Petersburg to Kursk.

According to independent ASTRA Press, the soldiers were immediately armed and sent to the front.

These are likely the individuals who were taken from the military village of Kamenka near St. Petersburg, where the 138th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade is stationed. At least 500 men who refused to fight were held there.

A week ago it was widely reported that Ukrainian Security Service forces captured 102 soldiers of the 488th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces and the notorious "Akhmat" unit of Ramzan Kadyrov.

We didn't want to fight in any way. Putin promised us that we wouldn't participate in any military actions at all. But something went wrong, emphasized one of the soldiers.

Journalists visited the prison where Russian prisoners are being held. Over the past 10 days, 320 Russian soldiers passed through this POW camp, of which only about 20 percent are contract soldiers.

They talked to us, told their stories, and listened to ours, one of the Russian prisoners said. When they stopped driving, a soldier offered to let me call my mom, who works in a grocery store in Russia, he added.
