A Russian soldier found himself under arrest in the Donetsk People's Republic for an attempted...assassination of his commander. This unusual incident began when Russian soldier Abramian, in a bid to evade dispatch to the frontline in the occupied Donetsk region, inflicted a stomach wound on himself.

Unian.net has disclosed court documents showing that Abramian stabbed himself in the stomach, resulting in "bodily injury in the form of a wound to the anterior abdominal wall". He persistently sought to return home, refusing to proceed to the combat zone.

However, the commander rejected his pleas, prompting the conscript to stab him in the left side of his chest, inflicting a "bodily injury in the form of a stab wound to the anterior chest". Instead of heading home, Abramian faced charges under Part 3 of Art. 30.

This incident is not unique. As Unian reports, Russian forces occupying Crimea often resist deployment to the front line. In one instance, invaders in the Zaporizhia region fired upon their vehicle convoy, blaming it on resistance movement representatives in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region.

Russian soldier in quest for bread leaves Ukrainians baffled

Strange behaviors by Russian soldiers have become commonplace. Many appear unprepared for war with Ukraine - a systemic failing in Russia that sees numerous ill-equipped and poorly trained conscripts dispatched to the front. Their preparedness for circumstances such as those encountered on the front lines in Ukraine is highly questionable.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces recently apprehended a soldier from Putin's army who seemingly got lost. He claimed to have approached a Ukrainian military position seeking bread. "'This explanation is as good as any other'," reads a post shared on social media.
