Russian claims of shooting down ATACMS in information war
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the shooting down of eight ATACMS missiles launched by Ukraine.
Many of the reports provided by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information war conducted by the Russian Federation.
Reports of the Russian "success" have not been commented on by the Ukrainian side. Ukraine's use of ATACMS missiles to attack targets located in Russia has previously been met with threats from Moscow.
The response was also supposed to include an attack on Ukraine using Oreshnya missiles, which Russia launched toward Ukraine in November 2024.
Russian attacks on Kherson
According to Ukrainian authorities, the Russians attacked Kherson on Saturday. As a result of the attack, a 65-year-old man was injured.
At night, the Russians also attempted to attack Ukraine using Shahed drones. Ukrainian anti-aircraft forces destroyed 34 unmanned aerial vehicles.
