The deceased pilot participated in the attack on the Amstor shopping center in Kremenchuk, where 22 people died, the Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) reported on Monday.

According to a statement from HUR, the officer was likely killed by hammer blows. "Dmitri Golenkov was a pilot of the 52nd Heavy Bomber Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces, stationed at the Shaykovka airbase and equipped with Tu-22M3 bombers," HUR wrote on Telegram.

The Polish Press Agency reported that HUR indicated the war criminal took part in missile attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets, including the Amstor shopping center in Kremenchuk, in the Poltava region.

At the time of the attack on June 27, 2022, about 1,000 people were in the shopping center. Twenty-two were killed, and dozens were injured.

"Golenkov was also responsible for the missile attack on a residential building in Dnipro on January 14, 2023, in which 46 Ukrainian civilians died, including six children.

The body of the Russian war criminal Dmitri Golenkov was found with numerous head injuries, likely from hammer blows," noted the HUR statement.
