Russian advances devastate Ukrainian city of Toretsk

The Russian armed forces have successfully moved their troops in the Donetsk region, reaching the city of Toretsk. This information was confirmed on Tuesday by Anastasiya Bobovnikova, the spokeswoman for the Luhansk Operational Group, on Ukrainian television.

The Ukrainian project DeepState updated their map today, indicating that the enemy is advancing in Toretsk. Unfortunately, I must confirm that this is true. The enemy employs a particular tactic: using artillery to destroy the city and its neighborhoods. In Toretsk, it's not just that there are no intact houses—there are entire neighborhoods that no longer exist. They move through and entrench themselves where there's no place to hide, no shelters, nothing, reported the spokeswoman.

Bobovnikova emphasized that the damage in the city is enormous due to intense Russian shelling. "You might have previously seen footage from the 5th Assault Brigade in Chasiv Yar, but in reality, Toretsk looks even worse. The enemy is trying to destroy neighborhoods and advance where nothing remains," she added.

"They are trying to encircle us"

The situation in Chasiv Yar is also difficult, although Bobovnikova noted a slight decrease in the number of attacks compared to previous days. "The enemy cannot attack us directly because they are suffering very high losses. They are trying to find weak points to encircle us," she stated.

She also highlighted that, according to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russians are trying to take advantage of the dry weather, focusing especially on using artillery and drones to carry out their tactical tasks before the upcoming frost.

"Therefore, unlike us, they are not conducting any active measures to prepare for the cold period," Bobovnikova noted.
