Many of the reports from Russian media and government officials are likely not true. Such reports may be elements of an information war from the Russian Federation.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov recently participated in a meeting chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin, discussing operational issues, including the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The high-ranking Russian diplomat urged the United States to pay attention to ongoing discussions about possibly changing Moscow's nuclear doctrine to adapt to the shifting conditions in international relations.
We have concluded that it is necessary to consider what comes next and how to minimize the risk of direct confrontation. The conversation on this topic should continue, explains Ryabkov.
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov also said in an interview with Izvestia that Moscow does not rule out cooling diplomatic relations with some Western countries if they do not change their "Russophobic" approach.
The risk of direct military confrontation between nuclear states is quite high today, threatened Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov.
Ukrainian attack on Crimea. Will there be retaliation?
Ryabkov also referred to the recent Ukrainian attack on Crimea. It is worth noting that at least five people died, and more than 140 were injured after a missile exploded over a crowded beach near Sevastopol.
Washington is conducting a hybrid war against Russia and has essentially become a party to the conflict. The attack on Crimea will not go unpunished, explains Ryabkov.
Sevastopol, a port city on the Black Sea and a naval base on the Crimean Peninsula annexed by Russia in 2014 is regularly under Ukrainian fire.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a post on social media, called on supporting countries to help Ukraine conduct further attacks on Russian soil.
