Many pieces of information provided by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.

- We would also like to note that during the phone conversation with Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that halting foreign military aid and intelligence sharing with Kiev is a key prerequisite for preventing escalation and moving towards a negotiated solution - Zakharova reminded on Thursday, as quoted by the Kremlin news agency TASS.

- This is a matter of principle. We hope that Washington heard that - she added.

Full ceasefire: Russia sets three conditions

After the conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin released a statement listing three "key conditions." Russia conditions the implementation of a full ceasefire in Ukraine and the start of peace talks on their fulfillment.

1. Complete halt of weapon supplies and intelligence data to Ukraine by the West

"The key condition for preventing the escalation of the conflict and working on its redirection to a political and diplomatic settlement must be a complete halt to foreign military assistance and the provision of intelligence to Kyiv," emphasized the Kremlin in an official statement.

2. Halting of military mobilization in Ukraine and recruitment of new soldiers

Vladimir Putin stated during the conversation with Donald Trump that Russia had indicated that further mobilization in Ukraine and its rearmament make any discussions about a ceasefire pointless.

3. Introduction of a mechanism to monitor compliance with the ceasefire

"Considering previous instances of agreement violations by the Ukrainian side, it is necessary to create a mechanism that will ensure actual compliance with the ceasefire," emphasized the Kremlin, noting that neutral international forces could take on this role.

Reaction of the Trump administration

The Trump administration, which in its communications emphasizes the need to end the war, initially supported the idea of a ceasefire but did not directly address the Russian demands concerning the limitation of military assistance to Ukraine.

However, Washington did not agree to halt assistance to Kyiv.
