Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that Russia will not participate in any continuation of the peace summit organized in Switzerland in June. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had not ruled out Moscow's participation in the talks earlier.

Zakharova, whose statement was published on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website, declared that "representatives of Russia did not participate and will not participate in any meetings of the so-called Buergenstock process."

In June, a summit for peaceful settlement took place in Buergenstock, Switzerland, with more than 90 countries participating and over 70 signing a joint communiqué. Russia was not invited to this meeting. Zelensky had informed of his intention to organize another meeting in November, possibly with Russia's participation.

Russia will not participate in the talks

Zakharova stated that this format "has nothing to do with settlement," called it "a scam by the Anglo-Saxons and their puppet Zelensky," as well as their "Ukrainian puppets," criticizing the peace formula promoted by Kyiv.

The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman asserted that Russia is ready for talks, taking into account the situation "on the ground" and "geopolitical realities." According to Ukraine and its Western supporters, Russia's conditions for a "settlement" so far are tantamount to Kyiv's capitulation.
