Russia reinforces Black Sea presence with missile-equipped ships
Russia has deployed three ships equipped with Kalibr missiles in the Black Sea, reports the Ukrainian Navy.
The Ukrainian Navy states that Russia has deployed three ships in the Black Sea, all outfitted with Kalibr cruise missiles. These Russian ships, observed by Ukrainian forces, are capable of launching up to six missiles in a single salvo.
Ukraine's actions
British intelligence reports that Ukraine is effectively limiting Russia's naval operations in the eastern part of the Black Sea. Ukrainian attacks have led Russia to perceive a threat from Ukraine, undermining the authority of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
Ukrainian naval forces, in collaboration with other military branches, have managed to erode Russia's dominance in the Black Sea by employing the R-360 Neptun missile system, unmanned kamikaze vessels, and Storm Shadow/SCALP missiles, announced Ukrainian Navy Commander Oleksiy Neizhpapa on Thursday.
"Overall, this is the fruitful work of the entire Ukrainian Defense Forces. The first successful experience was the use of the Neptun missile system. Later, during a joint operation of the Navy and the SBU, we used marine kamikaze drones that entered Sevastopol Bay," said Neizhpapa in an interview with ArmyInform.
