Massive attack before the third anniversary of the war
Russian drones, equipped with explosives or their fragments, caused damage in several regions of Ukraine. The Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, and Odesa regions were the most affected.
By 1 AM Eastern Time (8 AM local time), Ukrainian forces had managed to shoot down 113 Shahed strike drones and other types of unmanned vessels across 12 regions.
Additionally, contact with 71 decoy drones simulating an attack was lost, which did not have negative effects, as highlighted in the communiqué.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been ongoing for three years, and recent events show that tensions on the frontline are not decreasing. Drone attacks are part of a broader Russian strategy aimed at destabilizing the situation in the region.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their defensive operations, striving to minimize the impacts of Russian attacks. Despite the difficult situation, Ukraine continues to resist the aggressor, as confirmed by the latest reports from the front.
