Russia launches 60‑drone attack on Ukraine, fierce battles near Pokrovsk
Russia launched over 60 drones for attacks on Ukraine, of which 43 were shot down and 15 were electronically neutralized. The most intense fighting is taking place near Pokrovsk.
Russian forces conducted night attacks on Ukraine, deploying over 60 drones. According to the Kyiv Indepndent, 43 of these were shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions, while 15 drones were electronically neutralized.
The fiercest fighting occurred near Pokrovsk, where Ukrainian defenders stopped 98 offensive actions by the enemy.
Intense clashes near Pokrovsk
Pokrovsk, a key logistical center for the Ukrainian army, has been targeted by Russian attacks for months. The Russians are attempting to encircle the city by capturing nearby villages, but have not yet reached the city center. The General Staff of Ukraine reports that in the last 24 hours, there have been 199 clashes between Ukrainian and Russian forces.
The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that the Russians used 61 drones, including Shahed models, for attacks on various regions of Ukraine. Forty-three drones were shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions, and 15 drones were electronically neutralized.
