Russia initiates large-scale missile assault on Ukraine: civilian casualties and widespread damage reported
The Russian attack began on Tuesday at dawn. Ukrainian authorities instructed residents in the regions with air raid alerts to find safety.

The aggressors attacked Kharkiv, among other locations. They struck two apartment buildings and a gas pipeline. "Based on preliminary data, three people were killed, and approximately 30 are wounded, including several children," reported the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs via Telegram.
"Rescue teams are inspecting damaged structures and clearing wreckage. Psychologists are offering support at the scenes of the airstrikes while police investigators are methodically documenting the crimes," officials reported.
In Kyiv, where missile shrapnel fell, fires broke out in three districts. "One person was killed, and there were civilian injuries. Damage occurred to two multi-story buildings, a private home, and various vehicles," read the statement.
Shrapnel damaged apartment buildings, private homes, industrial structures, and cars in the Kyiv region, specifically the Bucha area. Here, three people were injured.
An attack occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region, with the city of Pavlograd targeted. The assault resulted in one death and one injury.
"The terrorist attacks that have caused loss of life and rendered people homeless reflect Russia's true intentions: to perpetrate daily terror against civilians," concluded the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
